Leeds United star named in Team Of The Week after dazzling display against West Ham

Leeds United youngster Wilfried Gnonto has been named in the WhoScored Team of the Week after his goal against West Ham in the 2-2 draw on Wednesday night.

The 19-year-old bagged his first Premier League goal for the Whites after a nice one-two pass with Crysencio Summerville before firing it past Lukas Fabianski 27 minutes into the match.

And while the Hammers would eventually go ahead in the second half, Rodrigo pulled Leeds level with 20 minutes to go to avoid defeat.

Gnonto was praised by fans and pundits alike for his big impact on the match, including WhoScored as they wrote: "In a relegation six-pointer at Elland Road, the spoils were shared as Leeds came from behind to rescue a point against West Ham.

"Wilfried Gnonto put the home side ahead midway through the first half, finding the back of the net with one of two shots, and the Hammers struggled to contain the teenage Italian, who completed three dribbles and was fouled three times.

"Gnonto also made three tackles and is good value for his inclusion with a WhoScored rating of 8.05."

The Italian international was featured in the side alongside goalkeeper Hugo Lloris (Tottenham Hotspur, 8.10) and defenders Matt Doherty (Tottenham Hotspur, 8.58), Ethan Pinnock (Brentford, 7.71), Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa, 7.48), Ivan Perisic (Tottenham Hotspur, 7.92).

He was placed in the midfield next to Solly March (Brighton, 8.82), Son Heung-Min (Tottenham Hotspur, 8.26) and Daniel Podence (Wolves, 7.86) while Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur, 9.69) and Evan Ferguson (Brighton, 8.23) paired up as the strikers.
