Max Wober has firmly established himself in the heart of defence at Leeds United, and has built a promising partnership with Robin Koch since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg in January.
One trait which attracted former Leeds boss Jesse Marsch to the Austria international was his versatility, with Wober previously playing left-back on multiple occasions for RB Salzburg.
He was first trialled in the left-back position during his brief stint at Sevilla in 2019, but it turns out that Wober played virtually every position on pitch across his youth spell at Rapid Wien.

Wober started out as a striker before dropping into midfield, and it was only due to an injury that he was trialled out in defence.
"I played forward until I was 14 or 15. Then I was deployed in midfield, where I suffered a meniscus injury when I was 16," Wober revealed in an interview with Kicker in April 2022.
"After that there was no more room for me in the Rapid U18s, I had a really strong competitor in this position in Dejan Ljubicic. The coach then tried me out in central defence and I really liked that.
"In the U21s under Werner Gregoritsch, I played as six (holding midfielder) and left-back at Sevilla. But central defence is clearly my strongest position."
