Leeds United signings Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams talk life at Elland Road under Jesse Marsch

Leeds United summer signings Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson have sat down and spoken about adjusting to life in Leeds away from the USA and how it's been reuniting with Leeds manager Jesse Marsch.

The American pair arrived at Elland Road in the summer, Aaronson from Red Bull Salzburg who Marsch managed for two years and Adams from German club Red Bull Leipzig where Marsch coached just before joining Leeds.

Since joining the Whites, both have made strong starts to the season, with Aaronson finding his first Premier League goal in Leeds' 2-0 win against Chelsea after dispossessing Blues goalkeeper Edouard Mendy in his own six-yard box.

On the BBC's MOTDx, the pair sat down with journalist and presenter Emma Louise Jones to discuss what life has been like in Leeds and even discussing the slang words in the area.

EJ: "How's life different here than back home?"

TA: "Yeah, obviously everything is a little bit different than in New York."

EJ: "Brenden, you're from New Jersey, how different is that to living in Leeds?"

BA: "I wouldn't say its a lot different, there's some farmlands in Jersey. I used to go to the beach a lot but you don't have a beach that's too near here."

EJ: "Bridlington - get yourself to Bridlington, it's a nice beach."

BA: "Bridlington, ok, that sounds good."

EJ: "Have you tried anything since being in Yorkshire that you've never tried before?"

TA: "I haven't had a Yorkshire pudding yet, but I've never had a roast dinner either."

BA: "I mean, isn't it kind of like Thanksgiving?"

TA: "That's not a roast dinner though, that's Thanksgiving - they do it every Sunday here, right?"

BA: "It sounds good though, it does."

EJ: "Let's talk initiation songs, what was your song and why?"

TA: "Party In The USA by Miley Cyrus - I thought it was fitting, bring back some U.S vibes and with Miley Cyrus, you can't really go wrong."

BA: "I sang Baby by Justin Bieber - it's like the one song I know the most. My voice was... not there-"

TA: "The vocals were not there!"

BA: "But my confidence was there so..."

EJ: "You've played under Jesse Marsch before, what's it like playing under him at Leeds?"

TA: "Yeah, I think it's been a good little reunion for the both of us. We've had success in the past working under him - for me, he gave me the opportunity to become a professional so I'm always grateful to him for that."

BA: "I was only with him for half a season at Salzburg but I felt as though that was my most productive season. I think he got the best out of me and I'm excited to be with him again to learn more."

TA: "He pushes a lot of buttons."

BA: "Yeah, he doesn't always demand perfection but close to it, he demands a lot and that's why he is where he is today."

EJ: "I want to see how much Yorkshire slang you've picked up. Ok, first word is 'A'reyt'.

TA: "A'reyt!"

BA: "Is that alright? Like how are you today?"

EJ: "Yes Brenden!"

TA: "That's my boy right there!"

EJ: "Ok, 'gander'."

TA: "Going for a stroll or something? To have a look?"

EJ: "Yes! Ok, 'Aye'."

BA: "Yes...?"

EJ: "Yes! 'Aye' is like 'yes'.

BA: "Come on, yo, I'm carrying you!"

EJ: "I've got nowt."

Both: "I've got nothing."

EJ: "Yes! Thanks guys."
