Leeds United's stance on Raphinha transfer made clear amid Chelsea and Barcelona interest

Leeds United will turn down any offers in the region of £33.5million for Raphinha, according to reports. The Mirror are claiming that Barcelona have now shortlisted the Brazil international as one of their top targets this summer amid reported interest from Chelsea.

Barcelona are said to be keen on a massive squad overhaul this summer and Raphinha has reportedly emerged as their priority target. Former Barca and Chelsea midfielder Deco is Raphinha's agent and the Catalan club feel like they can use this to their advantage.

Leeds are said to be 'well aware' of the interest from Barcelona in their star attacker and understand the appeal of the La Liga giants. However, despite this, they will not allow the 25-year-old wide man to leave Elland Road on the cheap.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to offer £33.5m (€40m) for Raphinha, but 'the sum does not come close to Leeds' valuation' if they do cash in on the tricky winger. The Yorkshire club have already offered the Brazilian fresh terms to make him one of the highest-paid players at Elland Road, but there is yet to be an agreement between the two parties.

Chelsea, like Barcelona, are hoping they can take advantage of the contract uncertainty with Raphinha, who has just over two years remaining on his current deal. According to a report from Football Transfers last month, the Blues were leading the race to sign the Brazil winger.

Last month, Raphinha was questioned about his contract at Leeds, but he insisted he was totally focused on his future with the club. He told BBC Radio Leeds: "I've got a contract until 2024, my head is totally here and focused on Leeds.

"As for contractual matters, I leave them to my agent and to my dad. I just focus on playing my football and making the Leeds fans happy, scoring goals, providing assists and getting victories for the team. Contractual matters are for my agent, my focus is on making people happy with my football and doing as best as I can for Leeds."
