Leeds United fans were able to breathe a huge sigh of relief when Tomas Soucek levelled the scoring against Burnley yesterday after Wout Weghorst gave the Clarets an unlikely lead. The result means the Whites have an eight-point cushion to the bottom three but could see that cut further by the time they next play.
Burnley still have a game in hand on Jesse Marsch side and will face Southampton at Turf Moor on Thursday night. A win for interim manager Mark Jackson could see them leapfrog Everton and out of the bottom three depending on the Toffees' result against Leicester.
Frank Lampard's side are also set to play twice before the Whites kick a ball next, with the second of their two games a Merseyside derby against Liverpool next Sunday. In the unlikely, but not impossible event the Toffees win both those games, they could jump above Leeds and onto 34 points, having played the same about of games as the Whites.

If Burnley win both of their games between now and the time Leeds play Crystal Palace, they'd move to 31 points, but would have played a game more than Jesse Marsch's side. The quest for Premier League survival remains in Leeds' control, but they face a tough run of fixtures against Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea.
The best case scenario for the Whites would be for both Burnley and Everton to lose both of their games, which goes without saying. Leeds' current unbeaten run of four is the best run in the division alongside title chasing Liverpool who have also picked up ten points from their last four games.
