Leeds United will have to start in the first round of next season's Carabao Cup as a result of West Ham United's UEFA Europa Conference League triumph on Wednesday evening.
While there was widespread good feeling from English football fans towards the Hammers, after their 2-1 win in the final over Fiorentina in the final in Prague - the club's first trophy for 43 years - it was not good news for Whites supporters.
Goals from Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen had Hammers boss David Moyes dancing on the pitch, as he won his first piece of major silverware in his 1,097th game in management, but it had a negative knock-on effect on Leeds United.
The Hammers' win means they have qualified for next season's Europa League as the defending Europa Conference League champions. It also means there are now eight English teams in European football next season, as opposed to the usual seven.

Because of scheduling issues, the teams who have qualified for European football enter the Carabao Cup at the third round stage. Next season there will be eight teams given a bye through to the third round as opposed to seven.
If there were seven teams as usual automatically entering the last 32 stage, the teams who finished 18th and 19th in the Premier League the previous season would receive a bye through to the second round of the competition. However, because eight teams will now enter at the third round stage, those two teams will have to enter at the first round stage to rebalance the draw to ensure 32 teams make it through to round three.
Leicester City and Leeds United, of course, finished 18th and 19th respectively in the Premier Legaue this season, which means both clubs will be affected as a result.
