Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Friday, August 12.
Leeds 'make Cifuentes bid'
Leeds United have reportedly submitted a bid of around £5 million for Los Angeles FC midfielder Jose Cifuentes. That is according to Bola VIP, who claim that several clubs across Europe are keen on Cifuentes, but it is Leeds who have made the first bid.
Napoli, Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion are said to be the other teams interested in the 23-year-old, who is an Ecuador international. Cifuentes has netted six goals and provided five assists in the MLS this season.
Galtier confirms Kalimuendo move
PSG manager Christophe Galtier has confirmed Arnaud Kalimuendo will be moving to Rennes this summer. Kalimuendo was linked with a host of clubs including Leeds United but it is Rennes who have seemingly won the race for his signature.

Speaking via Paris United, Galtier discussed Kalimuendo’s desire for more playing time and believes Rennes will be his new club. He said: “I’m happy for him. Things were very clear from the start concerning Arnaud, who was coming off of a very good season with Lens.
“He aspires to a lot of playing time, like in Lens, and here it would be difficult. He prepared very well for the team, for the friendly matches, for the Trophee des Champions. But I knew from the start that it was clear that Arnaud was going to leave us.
“He will arrive ready (to play) at his next club, which will be Rennes, I believe. We wish him good luck and we will keep a very close eye on his performances.”
Hasenhuttl rubbishes Adams talk
Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has rubbished suggestions linking Che Adams with a loan move this summer. Adams is reportedly of interest to the likes of Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Everton with some reports indicating he could be allowed to move on.
The 26-year-old was an unused substitute in Southampton’s final pre-season match against Villarreal, and was also left on the bench in last weekend’s defeat at Tottenham. Speaking ahead of the match with Leeds on Saturday, though, Hasenhuttl has claimed there is no way he will be allowed to leave on loan before the close of the window.
He said: “Definitely nothing serious behind this rumour. We are not in the way that we want to loan players like him to anywhere.”
