Aston Villa have appointed Unai Emery as the club's new head coach following Steven Gerrard's departure last week. The Villains are three points above Leeds United following their win over Brentford at the weekend.
The Whites on the other hand slipped into the relegation zone following defeat to Fulham at Elland Road. Pressure is beginning to mount on Jesse Marsch with no wins in their last eight games.
Villareal boss Emery will take over from November 1st after his work permit formalities are completed. The Spaniard won the Europa League beating Manchester United in the final in 2021 and lead the La Liga outfit to the Champions League last season.
