Spain and Real Madrid legend Raul has 'turned down' the chance to succeed Jesse Marsch at Leeds United, according Spanish publication AS.
Marsch was sacked by Leeds on Monday following a run of two wins in 17 league games, and having gone seven matches without a victory in the Premier League.
Ex-Leeds assistant and under-23s coach Carlos Corberan is among the contenders, while The Athletic have reported that the Whites are 'weighing up an approach' for Rayo Vallecano boss Andoni Iraola.
But the report from AS claims that Raul was approached by Leeds, and has decided to continue with Real Madrid's reserve team, who are challenging for promotion to the Spanish second-tier.

Raul has also attracted interest from Germany in recent months, but wants to stay in the Spanish capital with the view of replacing first team manager Carlo Ancelotti in the future.
The 45-year-old is Real Madrid's third all-time top goal scorer with 323 goals and also registered a club record 741 appearances during his 16-year spell at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Following his departure from Real Madrid in 2010, Raul spent two successful seasons in the Bundesliga at Schalke - scoring 40 goals in 98 appearances. He rounded off his career with spells in Qatar and the United States at Al-Sadd and New York Cosmos respectively.
Raul also scored 44 goals in 102 caps for Spain, and lifted 21 trophies across his entire career, including six La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions Leagues.
He was appointed Real Madrid under-15s coach in August 2018, before being installed as manager of Real Madrid Castilla ahead of the following season.
Castilla are unbeaten in 16 matches, and sit two points adrift of Spanish third-tier Group 1 leaders Alcocorn, with the fewest defeats (two) in their division.
