Leeds United have reportedly turned their attentions towards former loanee Alfonso Pedraza in their hunt for a new left back. That is according to Football Espana, who claim that the Whites will battle it out with Inter Milan for the Villarreal star.
They also suggest that while Pedraza is 'content' at Villarreal, he would be open to a move away from the club amid Leeds and Inter's reported interest. The 26-year-old has been excellent for the Spanish side in the last 18 months following a loan spell at Real Betis, helping them lift the Europa League in 2021, before then reaching the Champions League semi-finals a year later.
In total for the Yellow Submarine, he has scored 11 goals and provided 18 assists in 147 appearances. Pedraza is a familiar face for Leeds fans having spent the second half of the 2016/17 season on loan under Garry Monk.

During that period of his career, Pedraza was more of an out and out winger as he made 10 appearances, scoring one goal in a 3-1 away victory at Birmingham City. Now, however, if he was brought in, he would arrive as a potential fix to Leeds' left back problems.
Pascal Struijk has filled in admirably there for much of the season but is primarily a centre back and a new signing could allow him to move back to his favoured role. Junior Firpo is Leeds' only current recognised left back at the club but is continuing to struggle with both injuries and form in his second season at the club.
