Leeds United Premier League prediction made after Jesse Marsch's summer rebuild

Leeds United are being tipped to avoid a repeat of last season's survival on the final day, with a Premier League supercomputer casting a verdict that fans will love. FiveThirtyEight’s supercomputer - which uses statistical information and detailed data analysis to calculate how the Premier League table will finish in May - thinks after a largely positive start to the campaign, the Whites will finish in 13th place come the end of the season.

Jesse Marsch's side have completed eight signings with Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta giving the American their full backing after last season's disappointing campaign. Leeds have had to contend with losing star men Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, but have replaced them with Marc Roca, Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams to help ease to blow.

The Whites have made a steady start to the campaign with two wins, two draws and two defeats from their opening six fixtures - a 3-0 win over Chelsea the pick of the results so far. However, last weekend's disappointing collapse at Brentford has alarmed some supporters.

A win over Nottingham Forest on Monday evening would help alleviate any early fears of a repeat of last season. The Whites are predicted to finish the season on 45 points, with a 16 per cent chance of relegation according to the study, 13 points above their next opponents.

Steve Cooper's side have won just once since their return to the top flight - a 1-0 win against West Ham in their first Premier League game at the City Ground in over 23 years. The study is predicting Forest to finish bottom of the division, a sign if Leeds ever needed one, that they need to beat newly promoted sides to avoid a repeat of last season.

Everton and Bournemouth are also being tipped for the drop. Interestingly, the Whites are also being given a slim chance of qualifying for the Champions League, albeit a two per cent chance indicative of just how difficult that task will be.
