Leeds United supporters will witness a new man in the dugout at Elland Road this week, as Jesse Marsch faces a home crowd for the first time.
Marsch replaced popular figurehead Marcelo Bielsa ten days ago, presiding over a 1-0 defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on his Leeds United coaching debut.
There were reasons for optimism following defeat in the Midlands, namely the players' acclimation to Marsch's new style of play.
However, the prospect of facing an Elland Road crowd still mourning the exit of revered coach Bielsa, with Leeds on a seven-match winless run is a daunting task for any manager.
Therefore, Marsch's team selection will be of particular interest, especially given his comments on the availability of striker Patrick Bamford.
It is not expected the centre-forward will be fit enough to start against Aston Villa, but second half involvement appears a distinct possibility.
Here is the line-up our Leeds United reporter Joe Donnohue believes Marsch will select on Thursday evening...
Leeds restricted Leicester to chances worth just 0.39 xG last weekend, the lowest figure the Whites have conceded since the 1-0 win over Watford at Elland Road back in October.
In short, Leeds were noticeably more compact defensively, and the setup Marsch had implemented during his four days on the training pitch was taken on board by the players.
Why should Marsch change his personnel in defence, when aside from one moment of Harvey Barnes brilliance, it worked?
That is, despite the availability of Diego Llorente who Marsch stated would be named in the squad on Thursday.
"Diego was in full training today and he'll be ready. He had a small muscle issue.
"But he will certainly be in the squad tomorrow," the new head coach added.
Changes could be favourable in midfield, though. Robin Koch's ability as a defensive midfielder has clearly been identified by several coaches, but at times he lacks the mobility and hip-swivel that Adam Forshaw or Kalvin Phillips offer.
By comparison, they are not as lofty as the German and can move more dynamically. Marsch revealed in his pre-match press conference that Forshaw feels better than he has done 'in weeks'.
"Adam Forshaw told me he hasn't felt this good in weeks. So I think he'll be absolutely ready for the match tomorrow."
Mateusz Klich's performance should warrant another start, while Jack Harrison's King Power Stadium display is also enough to justify his inclusion once more.
Daniel James performed well in the reverse fixture at Villa Park, as did Rodrigo Moreno, suggesting that particular duo could cause problems once more for Steven Gerrard's men.
However, Marsch's thoughts on squad rotation will be of particular interest as the season progresses.
"I have a reputation for rotating, I think and giving players opportunities. I know that with the demands that I put on the players physically that fresh legs are important as well as not overloading players in the team."
Omitting Patrick Bamford is a decision based on Marsch's comments and the striker's fitness levels. It makes little sense to risk the player returning to regular action after five-and-a-half months out - albeit with a one-goal, 22-minute December cameo - when there are several winnable fixtures upcoming.
Predicted XI: (4-2-2-2) Meslier; Dallas, Ayling, Struijk, Firpo; Forshaw, Klich; Raphinha, Harrison; Rodrigo, James
