A host of current and former Leeds United players have sent their heartfelt messages to Raphinha following his departure from Elland Road on Friday. The 25-year-old signed for Barcelona for around £55million, putting pen to paper on a five-year deal.
The move ends an incredible two-year spell in West Yorkshire in which the winger’s value has tripled. He scored 17 goals and added 12 assists in 65 Premier League games, securing vital points and earning his call up to the Brazil national team in the process.
Raphinha admitted the move to the Camp Nou was a ‘childhood dream’ in an emotional farewell posted on his Instagram, thanking all involved at Leeds for their support. And a host of Whites took their chance to send a message to the Brazilian.
