Leeds United player ratings as Raphinha and Jack Harrison clinch survival at Brentford

Leeds United (4-2-3-1)

1 Illan Meslier

Some really solid stops from the goalkeeper. A few powerful efforts were down his throat, but the most eye-catching effort came with the chip over his head he had to react to and tip over the crossbar. 7

5 Robin Koch

Again proved an asset as an advanced right-back winning knock-downs in the air. Combative and alert. 7

14 Diego Llorente

Had some hearts in mouths when a fifth-second clearance was charged down, but after that the Spaniard had a fairly clean bill of health. 7

6 Liam Cooper (c)

A few nervous moments in the first half through an otherwise decent period for the visitors. Strengthened after the break. 6

3 Junior Firpo

Stung by one Bryan Mbeumo dummy in the first half which created a good opportunity, but Firpo was decent otherwise. Got forward and supported well. Defended solidly. 6

42 Sam Greenwood

For a full Premier League debut, this was better than good from the youngster. Picked some probing passes, got his foot in defensively and showed remarkable composure at times. 7

23 Kalvin Phillips

Much more like it from the England international. Roamed across the field making the tackles the team needed him to. Brought steel to the middle of the park and read a lot of danger. 7

10 Raphinha

Didn't have a hot streak in the game with a succession of chances or dangerous moments, but took his penalty well, won the penalty with decent anticipation and provided several decent passes into the attack. 7

19 Rodrigo

Nothing stood out as drastically bad as his recent performances. Spurned one or two decent openings. Solid. 6

22 Jack Harrison

Better from Harrison, who carried the ball with effect at times and offered a decent option to his team-mates. Scored that big, late goal too. 6

30 Joe Gelhardt

Put himself about, despite the height disadvantage with Pontus Jansson. A fraction away from that crucial opening goal. 6

Substitutes

13 Kristoffer Klaesson

11 Tyler Roberts

21 Pascal Struijk (on for Gelhardt 71min)

A move from Marsch to tighten up when they had the lead. 6

26 Lewis Bate

33 Leo Hjelde

35 Charlie Cresswell

43 Mateusz Klich (on for Greenwood 85min)

Late switch to bring some control as Brentford dropped to nine men. N/A

46 Jamie Shackleton

63 Archie Gray
