Here are your Leeds United morning headlines for Thursday, September 29.
Jan Oblak among targets for Spurs amid Illan Meslier links
Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris and Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak is among their preferred targets. The Evening Standard claim that Antonio Conte has spoken to managing director Fabio Paratici about a long-term plan to replace Lloris, with Oblak his primary target.
The Spurs captain, who has made 425 appearances across his decade in England, is expected to leave when his contract expires in 2024. Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier has also been earmarked as a potential successor for his 35-year-old French compatriot, but the suggestion is the young Frenchman is not near the top of Spurs' shopping list.

Oblak has a contract until 2028 but Atletico are prepared to discuss a transfer after almost a decade in the Spanish capital. Manchester United have also reportedly registered an interest in Oblak and have asked to be kept informed about his situation amid doubts over the future of David de Gea.
Jesse Marsch's previous outlines Leeds United's Aston Villa strategy amid touchline ban
Jesse Marsch will be calling on his Leeds United side to take more accountability this weekend as he watches on from the stands. The head coach will be serving the one-match ban he received following his red card during Leeds’ 5-2 loss to Brentford at the start of September.
His dismissal came following a penalty incident in west London as Crysencio Summerville hit the deck under pressure from a Bees defender. The referee waved away the Whites’ claims, but Marsch’s protests were deemed to overstep the mark.
As such, the American was handed a touchline ban, as well as a £10,000 fine, meaning he will be forced to watch Sunday’s game against Aston Villa from a distance. His assistant Rene Maric will be the man barking out the orders from the technical area against Steven Gerrard’s side at Elland Road, with help from Mark Jackson and Cameron Toshack.
Jack Harrison's Leeds United contract fate's been made plain by Andrea Radrizzani and Jesse Marsch
Transfers may be done with until January, but Leeds United's work in sculpting their squad continues in earnest. Jack Harrison was among the names heavily linked with Elland Road exits this summer, but the Whites held firm.
Newcastle United were connected with the strongest interest, though Tottenham Hotspur were also credited with keeping a close eye on the winger. Harrison inadvertently poured petrol on the fire in a clumsy post-match interview in Australia, but other than that there has been little to fan the flames.
Andrea Radrizzani set the record straight in his own interview last month on Harrison’s future and then on deadline day Jesse Marsch underlined an exit was non-negotiable. It’s fantastic for players to feel wanted and valued, but in the modern game, if a club is going to deny a footballer a chance to earn more money elsewhere, it generally requires a new contract to reflect that player’s growing status.
