Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Wednesday, May 25.
Sherwood admits he was wrong to doubt Marsch
Tim Sherwood was one of many Premier League pundits who was full of doubt over Leeds’ decisions to sack Marcelo Bielsa and subsequently replace him with Jesse Marsch. However, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa manager has admitted that his doubt was misplaced as the American was able to keep the Whites in the Premier League.
“For Leeds, I had a huge question mark over that,” he told Premier League Productions. “I was thinking ‘Bielsa is loved there, no matter what you do, whoever you bring in, you are going to have an uphill task in winning over the fans and keeping you in the league’.
“But they were dropping like a stone, so, as an owner, you have to make a really hard decision and you have to say, it has paid off. That’s a huge decision to make. You can hear all the Leeds fans.

“Burnley were in the driving seat before the start and you could hear the fans saying ‘Bielsa would have kept us up’. The only way he could win Jesse Marsch was to keep them in the league. And they have done it. It must be a relief for him and the fans.”
Kenneh opens up on Bielsa impact
The first piece of summer business for Leeds has been the exit of Nohan Kenneh who joined Hibernian for free after the expiration of his contract at Elland Road. His lack of first-team opportunities led to him pursuing the move away but he had nothing but good things to say, particularly about Bielsa.
"He improved me a lot,” the 19-year-old told HIBS TV. “For me, his style of play is different, more man for man and more intense.
“It’s very intense, we did a lot of running - so, I’ll be ready for pre-season, there’s no doubt about that! But his style of play improved me as a player, it was very good for me."

Leeds warned of Phillips departure
Unless new contracts are signed, the futures of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha at Leeds will remain up in the air for much of the summer. Reports continue to emerge linking the former with a move to the newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester City.
Should Pep Guardiola come calling, it would be tough for Phillips to turn it down for a number of reasons and, while Ally McCoist admitted he would love the Leeds side to stay together, he is concerned that the key assets might leave. He told talkSPORT: "I don't know if it's the right time for him to be looking for a move, but certainly if Manchester City come calling, I would imagine it will be very difficult to turn it down.
“I feel disappointed for the Leeds fans, who haven't had a great season but they ended it sensationally with that win at Brentford. The spine of their team has been out with [Liam] Cooper, Phillips, [Patrick] Bamford have been out.
“Personally, I would love to see Leeds stay together with one or two additions, but if you're asking me if Manchester City come calling, is he going to be interested? You better believe it. He's an excellent player, clearly."
