Here are the latest Leeds United evening headlines on Monday, 22 August 2022.
Tuchel told to live in the 'real world'
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has once again been slammed for his post-match comments following the 3-0 defeat at Leeds United on Sunday. TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara believes Tuchel needs to get in the ‘real world’ after listing a range of excuses for his side’s humbling at Elland Road.
Leeds produced their best performance in Jesse Marsch’s reign against the Blues, but Tuchel refused to attribute any of his sides’ defeat down to the Whites’ display. Speaking on talkSPORT, via the Boot Room, O’Hara was left less than impressed by some of the German’s comments.

He said: “Tuchel was coming out after the game and making excuses. Some about having to get a bus and saying they were the better team and that Leeds weren’t a better side than them.
“Leeds were way better than Chelsea. Chelsea weren’t good enough, give credit where it’s due. Leeds were fantastic. Outrun them in every department.
“So the players flew. The coaching staff had to get a bus. Oh poor them. The excuses. Try listening to the fans and all the people that have to do these eight hour shifts. Come on, get in the real world Thomas. Stop making excuses.”
Harrison bid
Leeds United have rejected a second bid from Newcastle United for winger Jack Harrison. That’s according to The Athletic, who claim the offer from Eddie Howe’s side was worth more than £20million.
Newcastle made their first move during pre-season, with the club identifying Harrison as someone who could offer plenty at St James’ Park. However, Leeds have no intention of letting the 25-year-old leave this summer and have knocked back a second bid from Newcastle.

Harrison World Cup odds
Jack Harrison's odds to make England's World Cup squad have been slashed following his performance against Chelsea. The winger scored and grabbed an assist in Leeds United's 3-0 thrashing of the Blues.
It's been an impressive start to the season from Harrison, but his display against Chelsea was his best so far this season. The 25-year-old, who has never received an England call-up, has assisted a goal in every Leeds game this campaign and scored eight times for the Whites last season.
Shortly after the Chelsea game finished, Harrison was 28/1 to make Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad, but his odds have since dramatically fallen to 6/1 with Sky Bet.
