Pundit urges Tottenham Hotspur to replace Hugo Lloris with Leeds United star
Former Premier League midfielder Charlie Adam believes Tottenham Hotspur should replace goalkeeper Hugo Lloris with Leeds United's Illan Meslier.
The Scottish international feels as though Lloris is declining and thinks that after ten solid years between the sticks for the London club, it's time for them to look elsewhere.
Speaking to Stadium Astro, Adam said that despite Lloris' "wonderful career", Spurs could've improved the situation over the last few years if they wanted to.

"Tottenham will be looking at players coming out of contract. The goalkeeping situation, for the last two years, is something they could have improved on.
"I think Lloris has thrown a few goals in as well. I don’t think he’s one of the bravest goalkeepers, in terms of coming for crosses. But he’s had a wonderful career.
"It will be interesting which level they go to, in terms of who they want to buy. I would go for someone younger, who can progress and be there for a long time, then nurture themselves to be at Spurs for a long time and be at the club for six, seven or eight years.
"Like Arsenal went with Ramsdale, they took a risk, but it’s paid off because he’s a top goalkeeper. Maybe go buy a Jordan Pickford or something like that? Possibly (Illan Meslier).
"He’s a young kid, that’s had a couple of years of experience and made mistakes in the Premier League. But Bielsa backed him. Jesse Marsch backed him, so someone like Meslier could be the one for Tottenham in the future."
Leeds United set to beat Manchester United to Cody Gakpo with 'personal terms agreed'
Leeds United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Cody Gakpo and are now in talks with PSV regarding their £30million asking price for the Dutch player of the year. The Mirror claims the Whites are set to beat Manchester United to Gakpo's signature after an impressive start to the 2022/23 campaign.
Erik ten Hag wanted to sign both Gakpo and Brazilian winger Antony in the summer - but Manchester United were unable to stump up the funds with Ajax cranking up their demands for their star asset to £86million. Leeds had hoped to complete a deadline day move for Gakpo, sending a private jet to the Netherlands in hope of securing a deal.
However, PSV technical director John de Jong reportedly blocked the move - a call that has now seen the two companies part way. Reports suggest Gakpo needed to be sold to balance the books after the Dutch club failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Jesse Marsch 'in dialogue' with referees as Leeds United boss relishes touchline return
Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch believes he needs to show more discipline on the touchline ahead of his return to the Whites dugout against Crystal Palace.
Marsch was sent off back in early September in Leeds 5-2 defeat to Brentford. The American was angry with referee Robert Jones' decision to not award the Whites a penalty for a challenge on Crysencio Summerville, which resulted in his dismissal.
Since then, Leeds have only played once in the Premier League, which saw them draw 0-0 with Aston Villa last week.
