Pundit suggests Whites have 'another gear'
Leeds United have picked up 11 points and gone unbeaten through Jesse Marsch's last five games. However, whilst points have been ticking along nicely, there is a sense that the Whites have been lacking in their last two performances when it comes to their use of the ball.
It was a 0-0 draw for Leeds at Crystal Palace on Monday and pundit and ex-Everton goalkeeper, Tim Howard said he expected Leeds to go to 'another gear' in the match and that he still believes they have that gear to find in future performances. He told Premier League on NBC:
"I think it’s a good result, one point closer to safety. I said at half-time I think they have another gear, I still think they have another gear but they didn’t show us that."

Whilst Leeds were unable to find that gear against Palace, Howard was confident about their ability to make themselves safe. He claimed 'things are looking good' for the Whites.
Mateusz Klich's Leeds United heart-to-heart with Jesse Marsch
Mateusz Klich was substituted at half-time against Palace on Monday, with Robin Koch coming on for the Polish international. Sky cameras captured what looked like an impassioned debate between Klich and Marsch at one stage during the first-half and, in his press conference on Thursday, Leeds' manager revealed that he and the Polish midfielder had discussed how the game had gone for Klich in the aftermath of the game.
"First, it wasn't anyone's best game. Klichy and I spoke after the match and spoke about things that could be better and then discussed how to handle the tough moments as well."
He explained the thinking behind the defensive change to bring on Koch: "Obviously, Mateusz is a more attacking player and Robin is a more defensive player, but there are different needs for different situations. I could see in the match we were struggling with the ball and even though Klichy normally helps us in those situations, I knew defending in that moment was going to be the biggest factor because Crystal Palace had the ability to unbalance us at times."
Every word Marsch said in his pre-match press conference
On Thursday, Marsch gave his press conference ahead of Leeds' clash with Manchester City on Saturday. The American spoke on a wide range of subjects and revealed that he still believed that Patrick Bamford would be likely to return in Leeds' final fixtures.
Marsch said: "I suspect and probably can expect, that he will be on the pitch next week. So lets see, we have to be cautious but we're all optimistic about Patrick at this point." Read on here for the rest of Marsch's answers.
