Here are this evening's latest Leeds United headlines on Friday, March 11.
Dean Smith bids to 'silence' Elland Road
Leeds United face a pivotal game on Sunday as they face fellow relegation battlers Norwich City in a game they desperately need to win in order to jumpstart their form under new manager Jesse Marsch.
The Canaries come to Elland Road with Leeds on a run of six straight defeats and Norwich manager, Dean Smith says that his side will do their best to 'silence' the Elland Road crowd which could play an important role in the game.
"It [Elland Road] is a tough place to go but we have to silence them," Smith said in his press conference.
"The players will be following a game plan.
"Everybody had us relegated in September, so we can go to Leeds and play with more freedom."
Raphinha selected for Brazil squad
While his form for Leeds has left much to be desired in recent weeks, Raphinha starred for Brazil in their last World Cup qualifiers and the winger has been selected in the squad for the next international break, taking place after the Wolverhampton Wanderers fixture next weekend.
Brazil are currently unbeaten in 15 qualifying matches during this cycle, and will surpass Marcelo Bielsa's record boasting the best qualification record if they win both of their upcoming fixtures.
Bielsa achieved the feat whilst in charge of Argentina leading up to the 2002 FIFA World Cup. His side accrued 43 points - a CONMEBOL record - en route to the finals in South Korea and Japan.
Stuart Dallas in line to play left back against Norwich
Junior Firpo looked to have sustained a serious knee injury in the 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Thursday night, ruling him out for the foreseeable future.
This makes the most likely solution to the problem of who plays at left back being that Stuart Dallas will shift from right back, over to the opposite side.
Marsch confirmed this after the match as he said:
"With Junior, that probably means we'll have to play Stuart [Dallas] at left-back. I think he can manage that. He's probably a six [in this formation]. That's probably his best position. We've asked him to play right-back and now we're going to ask him to play left-back.
"But he's incredibly intelligent and a good player, that he can manage that."
