Here are the latest Leeds United evening headlines on Thursday, July 21.
Leeds reject Harrison bid
After the departures of both Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, there has been plenty of talk that Jack Harrison may follow the duo out of the exit door at Elland Road. Tottenham were previously credited with an interest but Newcastle have been strongly linked in the last few weeks.
According to 90min, Eddie Howe’s side launched a £25m bid for the left-sided winger but it was swiftly rejected by Leeds. The offer reportedly fell well short of the valuation of Harrison set by the Whites.
With the price tag likely to price Newcastle out of a move, Jesse Marsch is very much planning to begin the Premier League season with the 25-year-old in his side.

Until Manchester City came calling, it was totally unclear as to where Phillips would be playing his football for the upcoming season. Although, one club that showed an interest that could have been immediately ruled out were Manchester United.
As someone who has spent his whole life supporting the Whites, the England midfielder will have been fully aware that a move to Old Trafford will have severely risked his relationship with the Leeds supporters.
“Going to United? There was never any chance of me going there,” he told the Daily Mail. “You know my loyalty to Leeds. My family are all Leeds fans.
“I was honoured by United wanting me, one of the biggest teams in the world but, no, I had to stay loyal to Leeds and go to the other side of Manchester. It’s just the way I am. I want to be loyal to the people who have given me the biggest opportunity in the world.”
