A look at the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Wednesday, March 15.
Cresswell praise
Leeds United loanee Charlie Cresswell has been praised by Millwall boss Gary Rowett after opening the scoring in Tuesday night's victory over Swansea. The defender broke the deadlock just after half-time, and Andreas Voglsammer's goal seven minutes later proved to be decisive in the 2-1 win.
Reflecting on the victory, Rowett told Irish News: “We scored two different types of goals. The first one, Cressy (Charlie Cresswell), with a lot of bodies, does really well to prod it home.

“And the second goal, it's great play by Zian (Flemming) to break free down the left-hand side and he plays a lovely little pass inside to George Honeyman, and he's aware enough to find Vogy (Andreas Voglsammer).”
It was Cresswell's 28th appearance of the season, and his 10th consecutive start in the Championship. The 20-year-old has now scored five goals this season, including a brace in the opening day win over Stoke City.
Molineux miracle
Exactly one year will have passed when Leeds United return to the scene of their Molineux miracle on Saturday. It was the Friday night match last year in a live broadcast slot and viewers were not disappointed.
There was the headline comeback from 2-0 down to 3-2 victors in injury time, but beneath that there were layers of controversy, heartache and desperately chaotic football. There was the collision between Illan Meslier and Raul Jimenez, which resulted in the former’s substitution and the latter’s dismissal.
There would be injury-enforced first-half substitutions for Diego Llorente and Patrick Bamford, who failed to hold back the tears at the back of the Leeds dugout. There was Mateusz Klich’s golf ball-size bruise and concussion.
There was Kristoffer Klaesson’s senior debut at 2-0 down with 40 minutes still to play and his last-gasp match-winning save in the dying embers of the game. There were even yellow cards for the over-exuberant celebrations of the substitutes, including Nohan Kenneh, who could only mirror the away support when Luke Ayling’s late winner went in.
It was a match which left everyone inside the stadium exhausted by the emotion of the evening, especially those who had barely recovered from the Norwich City winner at Elland Road five days earlier. It was a chaotic evening which would come to sum up that run-in under Jesse Marsch.

Lopetegui backing for ex-Leeds target Cunha
Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui is positive Matheus Cunha will be a hit at Molineux despite a stuttering start to life with the Premier League strugglers. The Brazilian, who is initially on loan at Wolves but will join the club on a record fee of £43million in July, is yet to score in his first nine appearances for Wolves since joining from Atletico Madrid in January.
Leeds United have long been linked with a move for Cunha, dating back to his time in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin. Nonetheless, a move to Elland Road would not transpire despite Marcelo Bielsa being a reported fan.
The 23-year-old has two assists to his name since moving to Wolves, but spurned a couple of opportunities in the 1-0 defeat to relegation rivals Bournemouth last weekend.
