Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Saturday, 3 December 2022.
Adams on USA support
Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams has hailed the support from USA supporters back home ahead of their World Cup last-16 clash against Netherlands this afternoon. The US qualified from Group B in second place behind England and are yet to be beaten so far in Qatar.
It is USA's first World Cup since 2014 after they did not qualify for the tournament in Russia and it certainly feels as though they are having a huge impact on the sport back home. Speaking ahead of today's game, Adams revealed that his Dad - a school teacher - has shown him videos of his students supporting him during matches, which he believes is actually what the US want to take from this World Cup.
Via Mail Online, he said: "The support from the US has been a bit surreal. My dad's a teacher at school and you know, they were all watching during their classes and supporting me. And I was getting videos from the family all the watch parties in my town and whatnot.

"But it's really, really cool too see how much just a tournament can change the perspective on people supporting soccer. And I think that was one of our goals coming into the tournament, is, the farther we go, the more support that we gather.
"And that's what we want. We want the next generation and generations to come to have that support behind them."
No English
History was made in Leeds United’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur. For the first time in the club’s competitive history, a line-up was named with no players eligible for England selection.
According to LUFC Data, every previous competitive line-up named by the Whites included at least one player eligible to represent The Three Lions. Liam Cooper was, of course, born in England, but he has declared for Scotland’s national team.
Jack Harrison has been the player holding off this particular record in recent weeks, but an injury forced him out of the squad in the capital. Leeds had players eligible for France, Germany, Scotland, Netherlands, USA, Spain, Denmark and Italy starting at Spurs.

Forshaw
This time one year ago Adam Forshaw was basking in the afterglow of his first Premier League start for four-and-a-half years. The then 30-year-old had hit the latest milestone in a comeback from injury which ripped almost 700 days out of his career.
Not only was Forshaw in a top-flight starting line-up again, but he was playing brilliantly. Leeds United had supported and guided their midfielder through virtually 23 months of medical trial and error before seeing him run the midfield against Leicester City.
Twelve months on and Forshaw finds himself in a similar predicament, coming back from an injury with a contract extension on the line. The former Middlesbrough man’s previous Leeds deal expired in the summer and he was playing for his future through that 21/22 comeback.
