Leeds United news as Marcelo Bielsa's demand no issue for Raphinha

A round-up of the latest morning Leeds United headlines on Friday, 16 September.

Barcelona's Raphinha outlines reason behind Leeds United departure

Raphinha has revealed his move to Barcelona was something he always wanted following his Leeds United exit this past summer.

The Brazilian international left Elland Road after spending two seasons in West Yorkshire in favour of a move to join the Catalan giants where his idol, Ronaldinho used to play.

"When people ask me if I imagined leaving Leeds for the biggest club in the world, which is Barcelona, and joining the Brazilian national team within a year, I answer that I not only imagined it, but also managed to achieve it.

His outburst earned him a red card after making his feelings known to referee Robert Jones on the touchline on what was an afternoon to forget for Marsch and co. The Leeds boss had until last Friday to respond to the charges, following a breach of FA Rule E3.
