Jesse Marsch makes 'disciplined' admission but insists he didn't 'cross the line' at Brentford
Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch admits that he needs to be more ‘disciplined’ on the touchline but doesn’t believe that he ‘crossed the line’ following his dismissal against Brentford on Saturday.
Crysencio Summerville’s shirt was pulled by Brentford defender Aaron Hickey outside the box before being tripped just inside the penalty area. The referee deemed it to be a fair challenge and the incident wasn’t referred to VAR.

Marsch gave an incredibly animated response from the dugout and then was sent off and sent into the stands. The American admits that he would’ve ‘tried to contain’ his emotions if he could turn back the clock, but also claimed that Brentford were fortunate to receive a penalty for Luis Sinisterra’s challenge on Ivan Toney in the first half.
Leeds United youngster Charlie Cresswell recognised for latest goalscoring performance
Leeds United youngster Charlie Cresswell has been named in the Championship Team of the Week after an impressive display on loan with Millwall. The Whites youngster grabbed a goal and an assist as the Lions defeated Cardiff City at the Den.
The 20-year-old came on as a 48th-minute substitute to replace Shaun Hutchinson and put Gary Rowett's side ahead just after the hour mark, rising highest to head home as the visitors failed to clear a corner. He then turned provider for Benik Afobe to put the result beyond any doubt in the 90th minute.
Cresswell has made six Championship appearances since joining Millwall earlier this summer, with three goals and one assist to his name. Two of those goals came on his Lions debut, a 2-0 win against Stoke City.
Jesse Marsch's already given 'Chelsea fanfare' message after winless Leeds United streak
Three matches have passed by without a win for Leeds United since their zenith under Jesse Marsch against Chelsea. A narrow loss in East Sussex and a frustrating draw with Everton had some redeeming features, but a 5-2 hiding in Hounslow felt a touch more alarming.
As high as everyone felt watching that Leeds demolition at Elland Road, Marsch said the feeling inside the camp remained realistic. While it was a near-perfect display against Thomas Tuchel’s side, the American knew there was still a lot of work for his side to improve on.
“I said last week I liked our team and that doesn't change,” Marsch said after the Brentford loss. “In fact, we're getting healthier, as you said, and we're going to get some key guys back."
