Illan Meslier highlights key difference between Jesse Marsch and Marcelo Bielsa
Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier believes Jesse Marsch is 'more defensive' than his predecessor Marcelo Bielsa.
Bielsa's high-energy style heralded stunning results but also left Leeds vulnerable on the counter-attack. Jesse Marsch has faced similar problems with his style, but Meslier insists that he was left more 'exposed' under Bielsa.

Meslier told French outlet L’Equipe: “With Marcelo, it was difficult because it was total football with individual marking. Nobody was doing that. We felt like the ultimate team, we were the only ones playing that style of game.
"Afterwards, inevitably, it exposed me a lot as soon as there was someone who escaped his marking. I was being peppered with shots a lot.
"Jesse is more defensive than Bielsa. We play on the counter-press, he asks us to go quickly on the counter-attack.”

Leeds United fans have pleaded with the club not to sell Jack Harrison after he scored a stunning goal vs Accrington Stanley in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Despite rumours swirling over his future, Marsch named the former New York City man in his starting XI to take on Accrington Stanley as they looked to reach the fifth round for the first time since 2016.

A deft touch from Patrick Bamford played a perfectly weighted ball into Harrison from 25-yards out, as the 26-year-old then sent a searing drive into the bottom-right hand corner, leaving Toby Savin with no chance in goal for Accrington.
Weston McKennie to miss Juventus game as Max Allegri confirms 'negotiations' amid Leeds United links
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Weston McKennie won't play for Juventus on Sunday as the United States international is negotiating a move away from the club.
Leeds are in advanced talks with Juventus over a loan move for McKennie with an option to buy, and Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Leeds have reached a verbal agreement with Juventus over McKennie's transfer.
The Whites are reportedly set to pay a €1.5 million loan fee and €35 million if they decide to buy McKennie at the end of the season.
