Here are your Leeds United headlines on Friday, April 7.

Ian Wright hails 'quality' Luis Sinisterra after Nottingham Forest winner

Former Premier League striker Ian Wright has hailed Leeds United forward Luis Sinisterra after his winning goal against Nottingham Forest earlier this week.

The Colombian international, who arrived at Elland Road in the summer transfer window, scored a fantastic solo effort on the brink of halftime in order to secure a 2-1 win for the Whites after following up on Jack Harrison's equaliser.

That result meant Leeds flew up the league table to 13th, just a point behind this weekend's opponents Crystal Palace with a win on Sunday meaning Javi Gracia's side could be at least five points away from the bottom three.

"They [Leeds United] have all these quality attacking players, Sinisterra, [Patrick] Bamford, Harrison," Wright said on the Premier League post-match show earlier this week.

"It doesn’t surprise me Sinisterra scores the winning goal. Good player, that [the goal] was great."

Crystal Palace defender highlights Roy Hodgson's 'hymn sheet' impact ahead of Leeds United clash

Crystal Palace defender Joel Ward has opened about how him and his teammates are all 'singing off the same hymn sheet' after manager Roy Hodgson returned to replace Patrick Vieira.

The 75-year-old came out of retirement to take over at Selhurst Park after the Frenchman was sacked two weeks ago and was treated to a 94th-minute winner from Jean-Phillippe Mateta against Leicester City last weekend.

That result meant that the Eagles stayed above Leeds United in the league table, but with just a point separating the two sides in 12th and 13th ahead of their clash this weekend, Ward made sure to warn the Whites of their new-found form with Hodgson in charge.

Leeds United predicted XI for Crystal Palace as Javi Gracia eyes back-to-back wins

Leeds United took a giant leap away from the bottom three by defeating Nottingham Forest 2-1 on Tuesday night. And they will be looking to do so again when they welcome Crystal Palace to Elland Road on Sunday.

Roy Hodgson marked his second debut at Palace with a 2-1 victory over Leicester City courtesy of Jean-Philippe Mateta's dramatic 94th minute winner at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles start the weekend one place and one-point above Leeds, and sit three points clear of the drop zone as it stands.
