Ian Poveda hopes to return for final weeks of Blackburn loan
After a slow start to the season, Ian Poveda was finding his feet on his loan to Blackburn Rovers before a serious injury ruled him out for almost the entire season. However, it now emerges that the Leeds youngster has returned to fitness and will be given a chance to return to Blackburn to prove himself and possibly play a role in their late push for a Championship playoff place.
Tony Mowbray's side were well in the hunt for the top-six at the halfway stage and even looked like they might be able to claim an automatic promotion place. However, injury to Leeds-linked Ben Brereton Diaz has seen goals dry up and Rovers drop out of the playoff spots.

One of the Whites final fixtures comes against first-placed Manchester City at Elland Road and the club are hoping to break the record for attendance at the level, held by Everton. The record is 17,000 and Leeds have sold 12,000 already. Speaking about the game, Neil Taylor said:
"Next week is great, back at Elland Road and a big crowd is going to be there. We know Man City are a very good team. We'll need to be at our best to get a result and we'll be working this week to make sure we are."
Opportunity for Leeds amid Chelsea distraction
After next Monday's Crystal Palace fixture, Leeds have a tough run of games as they host Manchester City and Chelsea as well as traveling to London to face Arsenal. However, yesterday's FA Cup Semi Final win for Chelsea may have provided Leeds with an opportunity.
Chelsea's visit to Elland Road now comes just three days before Chelsea's final chance to win a trophy this season. Leeds face Chelsea on 11 May, with the FA Cup final against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool - still in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple - on 14 May.
Last season, Leeds managed some positive results against top-six sides at the end of the season, whilst their opponents were fighting on multiple fronts. They will hope to do so again.
