Here are your Leeds United evening headlines on Tuesday, February 15.
Agbonlahor's Raphinha verdict
Former Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor believes that Raphinha will be keen to leave Leeds United after he was taken off at half-time against Everton.
The Brazil international was replaced by Tyler Roberts at the interval as Daniel James moved out to the right-wing but the substitution had little impact on the result at Goodison Park.
It has been a frustrating season for the Whites, but Raphinha has been impressive throughout the campaign, scoring eight times and grabbing two assists in 21 appearances.
He has been linked with a move to Liverpool and Bayern Munich in the summer and Agbonlahor has claimed that Raphinha will be hoping to depart the club at the end of the season.
He told Football Insider: "Raphinha being brought off at half-time when he’s not injured, he’s not going to take that well.
"I’m sure he wants to leave right now, never mind in the summer.
"Bielsa can sometimes complicate things and upsetting your best player was not the right thing to do, for me.
"You’re going to be fuming, to be honest. You’re going to be thinking ‘Hang on a second, I’m the best player in the team, I’m the one performing in the team and just because the first half hasn’t gone well you’re taking me off?’
"A player of his talent, he’s going to be fuming. I’m sure he’s probably already spoken to his agent and wants to leave already."
Ferdinand makes relegation claim
Ex-Leeds United defender Rio Ferdinand has backed his former side to secure their Premier League status this season.
The Whites find themselves on the periphery of the relegation battle as they sit six points clear of 18th placed Norwich City.
But results such as the one at Everton on Saturday, where they were defeated 3-0, means Leeds will continue to look over their shoulder until safety is mathematically secured.
And while Ferdinand does expect Leeds to have enough quality to stay up, he does, however, claim that them and Brentford are the two sides most at risk of being dragged in.
Speaking on his Vibe With Five YouTube show, he said: “I think the three teams that are in the bottom three now go down. That’s it. Newcastle are out.
“Leeds and Brentford could get dragged in. But I just think the three teams in the bottom three, they have to win too many games and the others have to lose too many to get out.”
Concerning shot statistic
It proved to be another frustrating afternoon for Leeds United after they suffered a 3-0 defeat against struggling Everton at Goodison Park on the weekend.
The Whites were second best from the get-go and struggled to gain any kind of momentum in the game, which may have surprised some supporters following the 3-3 draw at Aston Villa.
Marcelo Bielsa's side were on the front foot, pressed in the right areas and caused Villa many problems as they came away with a well-earned point.
This was the complete opposite at Goodison Park, however, as the Whites lacked belief in the final third and struggled to break down Everton, who hadn't kept a clean sheet in their previous 15 matches.
In fact, the Whites were the only side out of the Other14 clubs who didn't record a shot on target in Gameweek 25.
