Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Wednesday, May 24.
Everton injury woes
The first component of Leeds United's slim path to Premier League safety would see Everton losing at home to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon and the Toffees' injury situation could offer a glimmer of hope to Sam Allardyce's side.
Everton will begin the final day of the season on 33 points, two clear of both Leeds and Leicester, knowing that a win will keep them up whatever else happens on the final day of the campaign. But boss Sean Dyche is having to ready his charges with a number of key doubts.

Both Dominic Calvert-Lewi and Nathan Patterson suffered hamstring injuries against Wolves last weekend and the Mirror report that it looks increasingly unlikely that either will feature on Sunday, as both missed training in the early part of the week.
Dyche also faces more selection headaches at the back. Skipper Seamus Coleman remains about, Vitalii Mykolenko has been absent for their last two games, with Ben Godfrey also sidelined. That could see Dwight McNeil moved back into an unfamiliar left-back role, while centre-back Michael Keane could have to go up front again.
Leeds United player power comes under microscope
The scenes that followed the final whistle on Sunday at the London Stadium were difficult to watch for those of a Leeds United persuasion. A lifeless and limp performance led to a 3-1 defeat against West Ham United and that result left the Whites teetering on the edge of relegation.
Leeds knew the clash was one they had to win to be in control of their own fate come the final day, but they were played off the park by the Hammers and it looks a long way back at this stage. That disappointment and exasperation was reflected on the pitch at full-time.
While West Ham celebrated a win on their final home match of the season, Robin Koch and Wilfried Gnonto were amongst those seen on their haunches looking despondent. Joel Robles slumped to the ground in defeat, while others made attempts to shake hands with their opponents in the east London sun before heading over to the pocket of supporters in the corner of the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand.
Sam Allardyce tries new tack in Leeds United team meeting at Thorp Arch
Since 1982 Eddie Gray has been sat behind the emergency glass Leeds United tends to smash through every so often. The club legend is routinely put forward by supporters as the man to save them from their lowest moments, aided by the academy’s stellar production line of young talent.
Naturally, with the Scot now 75-years-old, those calls have quietened in the 19 years since his last go at the Elland Road helm. However, Gray remains a big part of United life, home and away, as well as with the managers who have passed through the club down the years.
This week, with the club on the verge of relegation and requiring a miracle this weekend to survive, Sam Allardyce has turned to that talismanic figure. On Tuesday, the club released pictures of Gray and another Elland Road hero addressing the current squad at Thorp Arch.
