Leeds United news as Dutch reports claim Whites agree deal for Luis Sinisterra

Here are the latest Leeds United headlines for Monday, July 4.

Dutch reports claims Whites agree deal for Luis Sinisterra

News broke on Monday morning that Leeds United were negotiating with Feyenoord for Colombian winger, Luis Sinisterra, as the Whites plan for life without Raphinha. The situation appears to have moved rapidly, as Dutch outlet, Voetbal International reported that a deal of over 20million Euros has been agreed for the winger, making it a record sale for the Rotterdam club.

"Feyenoord itself reported on Monday that Sinisterra was still missing from the club, because he had been given time to complete some 'personal matters'. It now appears that the Colombian is busy with a transfer to the Premier League. Leeds and Feyenoord have now agreed on the transfer conditions."

Kalvin Phillips completes move to Manchester City

"First of all, I would like to express how much of a privilege it has been to play for this amazing club. Since making my debut at 17 it has been a journey any Leeds lad could wish for.

“When I was young, I went to see my first ever game at ER and from that moment I knew that my dream was to put on that white shirt and walk out on that pitch. I’d like to thank everyone involved at the club for making Leeds one of the best clubs on earth. Every manager I have played under for showing trust in me and teaching me all I know."

Liam Cooper lifts lid on pre-season, Jesse Marsch and Leeds' new signings

Leeds' pre-season began last week but all of the Whites' international players - barring Raphinha - returned on Monday as they underwent testing at Leeds Beckett University. Liam Cooper spoke to the media, giving his thoughts on a range of topics, including how the team hoped to make a proper adaptation to Jesse Marsch's tactics over the summer:

"He came in at a tough part of the season and it was difficult to get any momentum swinging for us but from him coming in, we managed to win a fair few games after him coming in,” Cooper told Sky Sports news. “You could say that kept us up but he’s going to have a full pre-season and he's got time to get his ideas over to us.

"We understand how he works, how he wants us to play and we're looking forward to it, looking forward to getting back to the training ground, see the lads and get this (testing) stuff done with."
