Here are the Leeds United evening headlines on Monday, January 23.
Leeds United midfielder Brenden Aaronson told he could 'lose the shirt' after Brentford performance
Former Leeds United centre-back Matthew Kilgallon has told Whites midfielder Brenden Aaronson that he could 'lose the shirt' if he continues his rut of form.
The 22-year-old hasn't had a single goal involvement since the return from the winter break and could be in danger of being dropped by manager Jesse Marsch if he can't change how 'sloppy' he is with the ball at his feet, Kilgallon believes.
"I like him. But for the first 10 minutes, he started pretty sloppily to be honest, gave the ball away. And I think the fans did actually notice that," he told BBC Radio Leeds.
"But one thing about him, he gives 100 percent, doesn’t he. He’s busy, he’s there. But I think you need more. He’s going to end up losing the shirt because there’s people there now waiting to go play."
Ex-Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa among favourites for Everton job as Frank Lampard faces exit
Former Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is among the favourites to replace Frank Lampard as Everton manager. The former Chelsea and Derby County boss is expected to leave the Goodison Park club after a dismal run of results.
Sean Dyche has been installed as the bookmakers favourite to take over at Everton, with Bielsa second favourite to return to the Premier League.
David Moyes, whose West Ham side defeated Everton 2-0 on Saturday, is third on the list of candidates. The Scotsman spent a decade at Goodison Park between 2003 and 2013, and guided the Toffees to European qualification on four occasions. Former Everton and Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney and ex-Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno Espirito Santo are outside favourites for the job.
Two Leeds United stars avoid Premier League suspension for crucial Nottingham Forest clash
Leeds United stars Marc Roca and Rasmus Kristensen have had their yellow card record wiped clean after the pair avoided picking up a fifth booking of the season during Sunday's 0-0 draw with Brentford.
Roca, Kristensen and Robin Koch all headed into the game knowing they were one mistimed tackle away from being suspended for their next Premier League game against Nottingham Forest on February 5. A win against Steve Cooper's side would see the Whites overtake them with a superior goal difference, as they look to pull themselves up and away from a relegation fight.
Unfortunately for Koch, the defender received his fifth yellow card of the season in the 83rd minute. Had he held on just seven minutes more, he too would have had his cumulative booking total 'reset' having reached the halfway stage of the season.
