Here are your Leeds United morning headlines on Tuesday, March 8.
Raphinha's Leeds message
Raphinha has sent a six-word message to Leeds United supporters after the 1-0 defeat against Leicester City.
Harvey Barnes' second-half strike proved to be the difference between the two sides at the King Power Stadium despite a positive performance from the Whites, who created a number of opportunities to score.
The display was much-improved from the heavy losses against Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur and Jesse Marsch seemed to get his message across to the players.
However, the result left the Whites in 16th, just two points above the bottom three and have also played more games than their relegation rivals, including Everton and Burnley.
Despite the concerns, Raphinha posted a message on Instagram to the fans ahead of Thursday's game against Aston Villa. His message is translated as saying: "Good things will happen. Have faith."
Roberts suffers long-term injury
Surgery has ended Tyler Roberts’ season after he ruptured a hamstring tendon during Leeds United’s 1-0 defeat to Leicester City on Saturday.
The 23-year-old came on for Jesse Marsch’s side in the 76th minute of the defeat and suffered the injury early in his spell on the field.
Roberts chose to play on, despite the severity of the issue, but struggled to make any discernible impact as he effectively played on one leg.
The Wales international has gone under the knife and expects to spend the next three months on the sidelines, meaning his campaign is over.
A club statement said: "Leeds United can confirm Tyler Roberts has successfully undergone surgery on a ruptured hamstring tendon sustained in last Saturday’s Premier League game at Leicester City.
"Roberts will spend the next three months on the sidelines. Everyone at Leeds United wishes Tyler a speedy recovery."
The injury is similar to those suffered by Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips in December. That pair are yet to return to first-team action.
Bamford return is 'interesting'
Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills has claimed the timing of Patrick Bamford's return from injury following the exit of Marcelo Bielsa is 'interesting'.
Bielsa was unable to call upon the forward for the final 12 games of his tenure but he was named as a substitute for the newly-appointed Jesse Marsch's first game in charge of the club.
The absence of the 28-year-old has certainly been felt at Elland Road and the Argentine regularly deployed winger Daniel James as a forward in Bamford's absence.
Speaking to Football Insider, Mills said: "It’s interesting timing that, unfortunately, Bielsa has gone and he’s available the following week
"There has been one or two people talking about the levels of fitness Bielsa wants to get back into the first team. He wants them to be able to play murderball at 120 per cent and get all the right stats to get back into the team.
"Now, rightly or wrongly, that’s when some players break down because you push them too hard. Some managers allow a player to be at 80 per cent and grow their way back into the first team.
"These players are not a million miles away from fitness. Throw in Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper and that’s a huge bonus, they’ve been a massive miss since they’ve been out."
