Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has claimed they can not rely on other teams to do them favours in the battle for survival. The Whites sit just four points clear of the bottom three heading into tonight’s match at Crystal Palace following a 16-day break from their last outing at Watford.
In that time, Burnley have played a further four league matches in which they have accumulated seven points, including back-to-back wins against Southampton and Wolves. That has seen Everton drop into the bottom three for the first time this season.
With a very tricky end to the campaign in store for Leeds, the trip to Selhurst Park this evening represents a huge game to reopen up a decent gap between themselves and the bottom three. Speaking to leedsunited.com, Klich knows that Leeds have to keep picking up points in order to survive, rather than relying on results elsewhere.

He said: “We won against them in the first game, so let’s win again. They have very good individual players and are playing well right now and it’s going to be a tough game but there are no easy games.
"I just hope we can get the result because it will help us massively. Until we are 100 per cent sure that we are going to stay up, we can’t really relax. We need to keep pushing because nobody is really going to help us and we need to win games by ourselves.
“It’s going to be an intense finish to the season and you need some mental strength to be able to cope with the situation, but I think we handle it pretty well.”
