Rotherham United Matt Taylor has admitted he's 'excited' over securing a loan deal for Leeds United left-back Leo Hjelde, insisting the 19-year-old will bring 'Premier League quality' to his Millers squad.
The Norwegian joined the Whites in the summer transfer window of 2021 after coming up through the Celtic academy and has made five appearances for the senior team on top of 17 more in the Under-21s.
He also has international experience, having made five appearances for Norway's Under-21s side, and has appearances representing his country going back to the Under-16s level.

After securing a loan move to the New York Stadium in order to further his development and mould him into a player that Whites boss Jesse Marsch can use in the future, Hjelde is a player that Taylor was delighted to get his hands on after their struggles in the Championship this season.
“A club higher up in the Championship could have taken him," he said last week. "There is always competition for signatures. He has played Scottish Premiership football.
"With no disrespect to that level, the Championship’s another level on from that: a different beast.
"We’re excited about what he can bring to this team but, similar to the Brooke [Norton-Cuffy] situation, young loan players will always have their game tested and questioned in the Championship.
"We are hopeful he will add Premier League quality to this group. He’s highly thought of at Leeds. They have invested in him greatly and we’re pleased that they’ve chosen us as the place for him to further his development.
"He’ll certainly get his opportunity with us."
