For the second weekend in a row, Charlie Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton were the only Leeds United loanees to feature in Football League action.
Tyler Roberts missed out QPR's squad for their thrilling 3-2 win over Middlesbrough, with head coach Mick Beale choosing not to select the Wales international as he continues to recover from an injury. However, Beale does expect Roberts to make his QPR debut against Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup first round on Tuesday.
Both Cresswell and Shackleton featured for Millwall against Sheffield United, with the Lions falling to a 2-0 defeat at Bramall Lane. It was a dream Millwall debut for Cresswell last week, with the 19-year-old centre-back scoring a brace and keeping a clean sheet in a victory over Stoke City, however, he didn't have it all his own way against the Blades.
It was Cresswell's error that led to Sheffield United's second goal. His loose pass was latched onto by John Fleck, who then played in Sander Berge to round the goalkeeper to double the Blades' advantage.
Millwall boss Gary Rowett said: “The second goal is our own undoing. We don’t react particularly well and make a poor mistake."
Cresswell and Shackleton both completed the 90 minutes in Millwall's disappointing defeat, in which they recorded just one shot on target. Millwall host Coventry City on Saturday, August 13.
