Leeds United are reportedly in talks over a pre-season friendly with Glasgow Rangers this summer. The Scottish giants have already arranged games with Newcastle United and Hamburg, and are looking to schedule a third game against big-name opposition.
The Herald report that Leeds United are that club, with the Ibrox club looking at July 26 as a potential date. The game would bring back memories of the famous Champions League clash between the pair in the 1992-93 season, which saw Rangers win 4-2 on aggregate.
Leeds have only confirmed one pre-season game so far, with the match against Manchester United in Oslo scheduled for Wednesday, July 12.

Of course there are other key factors to decide first, such as the ownership and a new head coach, but the club's hierarchy will schedule more games over the coming weeks. The Championship season kicks off Saturday, August 5 - and it would be no surprise to see Leeds as the televised game on Friday, August 4.
Leeds last faced Rangers at Ibrox in that Champions League fixture more than 30 years ago, with Gary McAllister's goal not enough to prevent a 2-1 second-leg win for Walter Smith's side, thanks to a John Lukic own goal and a striker from Ally McCoist.
