Leeds United have been struck with the news that Wilfried Gnonto suffered a sprained ankle during Italy's 2-0 win over Malta on Sunday.
Gnonto was handed a start by Roberto Mancini after emerging from the bench in the 2-1 defeat to England in Naples. But he was withdrawn after just 22 minutes after rolling his ankle.
Mancini told TMW after the game: “Gnonto is struggling with a sprain, let’s hope it’s nothing.”

The 19-year-old is now a doubt for Leeds' trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Premier League leaders Arsenal on Saturday. And his injury serves as yet another blow after the Whites lost Tyler Adams to a hamstring issue before the international break, and Max Wober suffered a thigh injury for Austria last week.
Elsewhere, Rasmus Kristensen's Denmark were condemned to a shock 3-2 defeat against European minnows Kazakhstan on Sunday. Kristensen was initially left out of Denmark's squad for the latest round of international fixtures, only to be added to Kasper Hjulmand's plans after scoring in Leeds' 4-2 win over Wolves.
Denmark appeared to be marching towards a routine victory when Rasmus Hojlund scored twice to extend his recent international tally to five goals in two games.
Kazakhstan pulled one back through Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute, and Kristensen was introduced seven minutes from time as Denmark looked to shut up shop.
However, quickfire goals from Askhat Tagybergen and Abat Aimbetov completed a remarkable turnaround for Kazakhstan in the Astana Arena.
