Leeds United suffered an injury blow to a key player during the first half of the 1-1 draw with Everton on Tuesday night. Top scorer Rodrigo Moreno, who has netted four goals so far this season, picked up a dislocated shoulder after trying to beat Jordan Pickford to a through ball in behind the defence.
The Whites cemented their position of fifth in the table against the Toffees as Luis Sinisterra’s second half equaliser ensured a share of the spoils. Here is a round-up of Leeds’ injury list after the night of action.
Rodrigo – shoulder
After a superb start to the season in front of goal, Rodrigo couldn’t have asked for a worse time to pick up a potentially serious injury. The Spaniard dislocated his shoulder and is now set for a scan to discover how long he faces on the sidelines.

Marsch said (Aug 30): "Yeah, it's a dislocated shoulder and I've never had that but obviously, you know, you can see that it's very painful. They popped it back in, and he seems to be feeling okay. But we'll get a scan and then we'll figure out exactly what the damage is."
Potential return date: Unknown
Liam Cooper - calf
The Leeds captain has suffered another injury setback. After completing 45 minutes against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup last week, Cooper has sustained a minor calf injury which kept him out of the squad against Brighton and Wolves.
Marsch said (Aug 27): "He picked up a little something in his calf so we just again decided to be a little bit safe.
"I always get really frustrated when we build a process and then it winds up leading to a small little injury that interrupts things so yeah, obviously we're disappointed with that, but it's not bad."
Potential return date: Unknown
Luke Ayling - knee
The Whites vice-captain has been a long-term absentee. He missed the end of last season and had to have surgery on his knee.
Marsch said (Aug 25): “Junior and Luke, we think that they will be in training next week.”
Potential return date: 12/09/2022
Junior Firpo - knee
Firpo is nearing a return after missing the start of the season with a knee injury. The Spaniard also missed a large chunk of pre-season after picking up the injury in a 4-0 win over Blackpool in July.
Marsch said (Aug 25): “Junior and Luke, we think that they will be in training next week.”
Potential return date: 12/09/2022
Stuart Dallas - leg
Dallas picked up a serious injury against Manchester City towards the back end of last season which required major surgery. However, the versatile midfielder did start running again earlier this month.
Marsch said (Aug 11): “Then Stuart Dallas, I saw on the pitch today, moving around a little bit. So that was an exciting moment for us.”
Potential return date: Unknown
