Leeds United injury latest as Sam Allardyce rules out four Whites stars for Man City clash

Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Leeds United will be without four first-team players for their trip to take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Allardyce has only had a handful of days to prepare his side for their trip to the Etihad to take on the reigning champions. The Whites start the first of their final four matches of the season against Pep Guardiola's side before they turn their attention to Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham.

Leeds sit ahead of Nottingham Forest and outside of the relegation zone on goal difference alone heading into this weekend's match. Although victory might not be a realistic achievement to target against Man City, Allardyce has admitted that they will be giving their all to try and get a shock result.

All eyes will be on his team selection to see what changes he will introduce compared to Javi Gracia's side. Allardyce will not have complete free range to pick from after he revealed that the squad are still carrying a few fitness concerns for the game.

"I've only got [Stuart] Dallas, [Tyler] Adams, [Luis] Sinisterra and [Liam] Cooper injured. The rest around that will be picking a team and a system today."

Pushed further on whether or not Cooper would play again for Leeds this season, the 68-year-old was tight-lipped with his response.

"I have no idea," he added. "There's no disrespect but I haven't really focused on that as I was told he wouldn't be fit for this game. So I've only been focused on the players who would be fit for this match."
