Leeds United headlines as Luis Sinisterra is backed to emulate departing Raphinha

Here are the latest Leeds United evening headlines on Wednesday, July 13.

Leeds unveil new home shirt for 2022/23 season

Leeds have unveiled their new home kit for the new season, ahead of the first game of their pre-season tour in Australia against Brisbane Roar on Thursday, July 14. It is the third season that adidas have produced the kits and training wear for the club in a five-year partnership. SBOTOP are also back on the front of the shirts for a third successive year.

The Whites also announced Wish, a mobile e-commerce platform, as the sleeve sponsor for the next season.

The club’s official description of the shirt designs reads: “Produced once again in partnership with official technical kit partner adidas and using a high-performance recycled material, the soft, textured AEROREADY fabric has the iconic LUFC script printed to recognise the 50th anniversary of the 1972 FA Cup winning side.

“The collar is a ribbed crew-neck design and is accompanied by sewn-on classic 3-stripes on the shoulders, with comfortable fitting sleeve cuffs as you work your way down the arm.”

Sinisterra backed to fill Raphinha’s Leeds boots by Dutch football expert

Leeds United wasted no time in adding to their squad this summer with Luis Sinisterra coming in to ease the pain of Raphinha's Barcelona transfer. It's unclear, as things stand, whether the Colombian is direct replacement for the Whites' talisman but it's certainly an exciting signing on paper.

The 23-year-old enjoyed the best return of his career so far, scoring 23 goals in 49 appearances and was the star man for Feyenoord as they made their way to the Europa Conference League final. The lively winger penned a five-year deal at Elland Road earlier this summer and fans are likely to get a first glimpse of the new man out in Australia.

Leeds Live spoke with Football Oranje's Dutch football expert Michael Statham, to get an insight into what the Whites can expect from the new arrival this summer.

AC Milan below Club Brugge’s valuation for Leeds target de Ketelaere

Leeds United’s main rivals to sign Charles de Ketelaere, AC Milan, have so far been unsuccessful with their bid to sign the young forward. Reports in Belgium say AC Milan have not yet made a suitable bid that reaches Club Brugge's valuation of de Ketelaere, which leaves the door open for Leeds to make a move for the 21-year-old.

With Raphinha's move to Barcelona moving closer to completion with a fee now agreed, the funds from that deal could help Leeds launch a bid for de Ketelaere in the near future.
