'We were better' Jesse Marsch believes Leeds United outplayed Arsenal
Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch believes his Whites team outplayed Arsenal despite losing 1-0 to the Gunners at Elland Road.
Bukayo Saka's first half strike was enough to earn Mikel Arteta's side all three points on the day, in a game that Leeds will feel aggrieved to have got nothing from.
Marsch's side played well but ultimately found themselves on the end of another frustrating result. Had Leeds striker Patrick Bamford not fired his penalty wide, it might have changed the entire complexion of the game.

And speaking after the disappointing defeat, Marsch insisted that although Leeds lost, he was pleased with his sides performance.
"It was a really good performance from us," said Marsch.
"Disciplined, concentration over the entire match even with the late start and everything that was strange on the day. A performance that showed when we play the way that we want to play, we can be very good, very good.
"That's the best team in the league right now and today we were better. Listen, we're making it hard on ourselves by not capitalising on moments when we're on top of games. We should be leading in this match, even in the second half, we could have scored four or five goals.
"But that's where we are right now. I'm not discouraged and the goals will come."
Cruelty of Leeds United's Arsenal loss will only truly land in the trenches vs Leicester and Fulham
Leeds United slipped to another defeat on Sunday to Premier League leaders Arsenal.
In what proved to be a weird afternoon at Elland Road due to a local power cut that led to a delay in proceedings, the Gunners took the lead through winger Bukayo Saka on 35 minutes.
The Whites were handed a chance to get back into the game through a Patrick Bamford penalty, but the England international fired his spot kick wide.
While Leeds showed promise, they once again have found themselves on the end of another frustrating result. Here are our four talking points from Leeds United's 1-0 loss to Arsenal.
Leeds dressing room have 'complete confidence' in Patrick Bamford after penalty miss in Arsenal defeat
Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams insists that the team have "complete confidence" in Patrick Bamford after his penalty miss in the defeat against Arsenal.
Bamford was thrown into the action after the break at the expense of Rodrigo and was at the heart of the drama. He was a major influence on Leeds' dominant second half performance and had a goal disallowed within minutes of entering the fold.
A handball from William Saliba just past the hour-mark presented him with a prime opportunity to end a goalless run stretching back to last December. Injury has deprived him of the platform to build on his 17-goal haul in 2020/21 but any hopes of a renaissance were dashed when he failed to convert from the spot.
"I feel for him a little bit but he came in and completely changed the game," Adams told LUFC TV.
