Here are tonight's Leeds United headlines for Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Leeds target Coventry star
Leeds United have been linked with a summer move for Coventry City's Gustavo Hamer, according to reports. The Sky Blues missed out on promotion to the Premier League after losing to Luton Town in the Championship play-off final.
However, with Leeds United under new owners, the Whites are looking to rebuild their squad ahead of their own promotion campaign, and have reportedly identified Hamer as a key target. The midfielder is thought to be an ideal replacement if the likes of Tyler Adams and Marc Roca leave this summer.
The Dutchman was born in Brazil but moved to the Netherlands as a child. He scored 11 goals for Coventry from midfield last season, and the 25-year-old has attracted interest this summer.

NBA star's Leeds assurances
NBA star Larry Nance Jr has given assurances to Leeds United supporters that 49ers Enterprises will do everything in their power to give them what they deserve. News broke on Friday evening of a deal being agreed between 49ers Enterprises and Andrea Radrizzani for the full purchase of the Whites.
There are still details to iron out at this point but the takeover is expected to be completed sooner rather than later, bringing an end to Radrizzani’s six-year stint as chairman. Nance is an investor in 49ers Enterprises and he confirmed his involvement in the deal to buy Leeds earlier this week with numerous tweets to supporters.
The New Orleans Pelicans player, who has previously played for Cleveland Cavaliers and LA Lakers and counts LeBron James as a former teammate, has been tweeting since Friday’s news broke, too, underling his delight to have a stake at Elland Road. Nance has also stressed the group’s desire to please the club’s supporters as they prepare for the new Championship season.
“Thrilled and honored to be part of the ownership group that has taken over @LUFC,” he wrote on Twitter, alongside a picture of himself at Elland Road.
“This club and its supporters deserve the world and we’ll do everything we can to give them just that. Marching on together!”
Radrizzani facing Samp race
Leeds United's Andrea Radrizzani is facing a race against time to register his new club Sampdoria in Serie B next season according to reports in Italy. The current Whites owner, who has agreed a takeover deal with 49ers Enterprises to relinquish his shares in the club, is hoping to save the Serie B side from bankruptcy.
Tuttosport claim the future of the Italian club hands in the balance, despite Radrizzani being given the green light to take over. The newspaper claims the plans to save the club from financial despair have not yet been signed off.
Radrizzani has proposed debt restructuring at La Samp, that would see their debt fall from €150 million to a fee in the region of €80-90 million according to the report. Il Doria are not yet registered in Serie B for next season and documentation must be submitted by June 20th.
One of the biggest debts at the club is the €21 million owed to agents, but Radrizzani's plan would see them pay back just 40 per cent of that over the course of three years. A figure too low for some of the agents involved, says the report.
The report claims the two parties are at a 'risky stalemate' with no agreement in place. If a deal is not agreed, Sampdoria face the risk of further demotion or possible bankruptcy.
The report claims Radrizzani and his fellow investors will need to have any debt restructure signed off by Monday ahead of the latest shareholders meeting on Friday. The sale of Leeds United is expected to act as an accelerator for any debt repayment.
