Brentford boss Thomas Frank has confirmed that key defender Ethan Pinnock will not be available to face Leeds United on the final day of the Premier League season. The Whites do not yet know whether they will go into the fixture with their fate in their own hands but with the table as it is at the moment, they may well need at least a point in west London, unless Burnley lose both their remaining fixtures.
Pinnock picked up a hamstring injury in April, as the Bees won 2-1 at Watford. Frank said that the centre-back would not be 'rushed' back. However, the Danish manager is taking the fixture very seriously, despite hopes from Whites fans that his side would be 'on the beach' for their final game.
Following his side's win over Everton last weekend, Frank said: "We will put our very best team out there - it's so important to understand we need to do our very best to win.

"Everyone will do our best to try and win on Sunday, and if Brentford can finish top 10, that's remarkable. As far as I know, there is a fair quid to gain if you finish higher, for the club. It's very simple; maybe after 10 years in the Premier League you don't care if you finish 11th or ninth but for us, every game is a cup final."
Should Burnley lose to Aston Villa on Thursday night, Leeds will only need to match the Clarets' result against Newcastle on the final day. However, if Burnley draw, Jesse Marsch's side will have to better them on the final day. Meanwhile, a win for Burnley on Thursday would mean that a draw on the final day would guarantee safety.
