Illan Meslier has become the youngest goalkeeper to reach 100 Premier League appearances. The Frenchman has been a constant for Leeds United this season, starting all 27 league games.
Initially arriving on loan in 2019, the Whites snapped Meslier up the following summer after he displaced Kiko Casilla as number one. He has not looked back since, starting every top-flight game for Leeds since the final day of the 2020-21 campaign - almost two years ago.
At 23 years and 16 days, Meslier became the youngest goalie to enter the Premier League's centurion club. That adds to the ever-growing list of records for the Leeds keeper, who also boasts the most starts (25) and clean sheets (eight) for an under-21 keeper in the league’s history.

Meslier has been a rare highlight in an otherwise dismal campaign for the Whites this season. The £5million paid to FC Lorient three years ago now appears a steal and the Frenchman is emerging as one of the continent’s top young goalkeepers.
Reports have suggested Manchester United may target Meslier as a long-term replacement for David de Gea. A contract until 2026 places Leeds in no desperate position to sell one of their star assets.
