Spending on agents by Leeds United topped £15m across the last two transfer windows, ranking them eighth in the Premier League. That expenditure at Elland Road is up from £11.3m and £7m across the two previous years respectively.
From February 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023, the Whites doled out £15,310,814 on intermediaries involved in their transfers, according to figures released by The Football Association. That put them ahead of Newcastle United (£10.7m), Brighton & Hove Albion (£8.5m), Brentford (£5.5m), Fulham (£8.7m), Crystal Palace (£9.7m) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (£6.1m), who are all currently leading Leeds in the league table.
Total league spending on agents went beyond £318m with Manchester City (£51.5m), Chelsea (£43.1m) and Liverpool (£33.6m) contributing the brunt of that figure. Nottingham Forest had the lowest total at £4.3m, while the league average of £15.9m shows United were below the centre line.
