Leeds United fans have resisted the temptation to throw new signing Luis Sinisterra straight into the XI for Southampton. Sinisterra is set to be available for the first time this season after recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up in pre-season against Crystal Palace.
The Colombia international is one of four senior stars likely to return to the squad for the trip to the South Coast, with Daniel James, Liam Cooper and Adam Forshaw all in contention. James served the last of his three-match ban for the red against Chelsea last season against Wolves, while Cooper and Forshaw have overcome respective Achilles and knee issues.
Even with the fresh faces in the squad, supporters have called on Jesse Marsch to go with an unchanged team at St. Mary’s. That starts with Illan Meslier in goal, with Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Pascal Struijk lining up in the back four.

In front of them in the midfield two will be Marc Roca and Tyler Adams, who showed positive signs of a strong partnership last weekend. It is in attack where Marsch is now spoilt for choice for options, but Brenden Aaronson, Rodrigo Moreno and Jack Harrison have been backed to line up in Leeds’ three behind the striker.
Of course, leading the line will once again be Patrick Bamford, even with Joe Gelhardt breathing down his neck for his first start of the season. Bamford is also likely to captain the side, should Cooper not be selected in the starting XI.
