Leeds United fans slam 'disgraceful' Liverpool fixture change that causes travel issues

Leeds United supporters have been left outraged by the travel disruption caused by their rescheduled fixture against Liverpool at Anfield next month.

The game was originally meant to be played on Sunday, October 30, but has been moved to the Saturday so that it can be televised on Sky Sports.

The kick-off time has been scheduled for 7:45pm and Henry Winter of The Times has highlighted that the final train from Leeds to Liverpool will leave during the second half.

The train is scheduled to leave at 9:08pm, which has led some supporters to criticise the Premier League’s lack of consideration for spectators.

@DavidGoldstone1 All fans are an inconvenience to the football authorities and thus treated as such. Loved the journey to the Prem even the very dark days compared to this. Fast falling out of love. First ST at LUFC was 1969, fight every season now to convince myself to renew.

@FredgoldMartin How does Premier League allow Brighton to cancel a game because of the train strikes. Then allow Sky to schedule a Liverpool game for TV when realistically there isn’t any trains home?

@KingyfromLeeds Standard appalling treatment of LUFC fans. Happens for most away games TBF.

@AaronMorph1 What annoys me is that it doesn’t need to be shown on Sky/BT. It could have just been put to a standard 3pm kick-off surely?

@lufctrust One day they might start to consider fans in these KO & date changes! It’s consistently impacting fans and late changes also means increased costs. When will they start listening? They really don’t care do they?

@fidge911 Absolute disgrace.
