Leeds United fans debate Marcelo Bielsa's decision to name unchanged side at Aston Villa

Leeds United fans have expressed their surprise that Marcelo Bielsa has named an unchanged team to face Aston Villa this evening.

Before the mid-winter break, the Whites struggled to break down Newcastle United, with Dan James given the unfamiliar task of leading the attack in a 1-0 defeat.

A number of players are available again after injury, including midfielder Adam Forshaw and young forward Joe Gelhardt, but both are on the bench at Villa Park.

Whites fans have debated the selection on social media, with several questioning why no changes have been made:

@Lamar2k19: Did we beat Newcastle?

@AshJohnson20: Probably definitely should’ve changed it but we move

@LufcCalum: Not changing the line up after losing to Newcastle come on

@Jamiemander2: James doesn’t work up top what is going on, 4ft striker against mings and konsa good one

@Y0rkshirePirl0: Whyyyyyyyyyyyy are we playing a winger upfront again?

However, some supporters were slightly more optimistic, believing the side is as strong a one that Biesla can put out due to injuries.

@andr3ww00d: Try not to be over dramatic, we weren’t awful against the geordies we just couldn’t finish

@THEBIGPEANUT257: I think James and Rodrigo will swap about during the match n play as a 2 imho, give foreshaw a couple of games bk n he will replace Koch imo

@scottyjcass88: Strong team. Just worried about not having a natural striker. Hope Dan James gets a goal or 2
