Leeds United will reportedly face competition from Dutch champions Feyenoord in a race to sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips. The Athletic claims the Eredivisie outfit have not yet made contact with Jurgen Klopp's side but view the 26-year-old as a target this summer.
Arne Slot's Eredivisie-winning side will play Champions League football next season and are viewed as an attractive proposition for the defender. Phillips has made just 29 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's first-team since making his debut in 2020.
The centre-half made just five appearances last season and could be moved on this summer. Liverpool have set a reported asking price of around £10million.
Feyenoord have not yet opened talks with Liverpool over a move for Phillips, according to the report. Last week, it was claimed Leeds were keen on signing the defender to bolster their options in the Championship next season.

A move for Phillips was believed to not be dependent on a managerial appointment, although Daniel Farke looks set to take over at Elland Road after a lengthy wait. The Whites are also still waiting on the green light from the EFL to grant 49ers Enterprises full control at the club after a takeover was agreed between Andrea Radrizzani and themselves.
Leeds are yet to announce any incomings or departures so far this summer and returned for pre-season testing earlier this week. Farke is expected to take control of training in the coming days as they step up preparations for next season.
The Whites are still expecting a number of players to leave the club this summer following on from last year's relegation.
